Still
reminiscing about last year’s PS21 ExCEL Convention and
Award Ceremony — after all the teamwork, engagement, interactions
and all the fun you had voting for the team you supported?
Well, you do not need to wait any longer. The PS21 ExCEL
Convention and Award ceremony is back! Organised by the
Ministry of Law (MinLaw), this year’s event promises twice
the fun and excitement!
| |
| Mr Lee and his
committee want to reach out and engage public
officers. |
|
For those of you who are new to the Service, the PS21
ExCEL Convention and Award Ceremony is the nation’s main
platform for public officers to showcase and share their
most innovative ideas and WITS projects. It is a fun annual
affair and ministries take turns to organise it.
“We aim to reach out and engage public officers to share
and learn from each other’s work improvement and staff
suggestion ideas. The end goal is continuous improvement,
greater innovation, better outcomes and new value creation
all round,” said Mr Lee Seng Lai, Chairman, 2006 PS21
ExCEL Convention and Award Ceremony Organising Committee.
Besides the sharing of WITS projects, the organising committee
also plans to up the learning value by showcasing top
staff suggestions of the participating ministries and
organs of State.
And what is the theme of this year’s convention? It is
X³, which translates into “Xplore, Xchange, Xcel”.
| |
Xplore:
The convention creates a platform for public officers
to congregate and explore ideas from work improvement
teams and staff suggestions, and also understand
the thinking processes, lessons learnt and success
factors. |
| |
Xchange: The
convention encourages public officers to network
and exchange ideas for continuous improvement and
enhancing the quality
of work. |
| |
Xcel: The convention
challenges public offices to harness the ideas shared
to excel in their work and collectively contribute
to bringing about a quality Public Service for Singapore. |
This year’s convention will be a one-day event with an
exhibition open to all in the Civil Service. The award
ceremony will be held in the afternoon.
Exhibits of the top 16 WITS teams from all ministries
and organs of State will be displayed. PS Awards for Organisational
Excellence and The Enterprise Challenge Public Service
Innovation Awards will also be given out during the award
ceremony.

We aim to reach out and engage public
officers to share and learn from each
other’s work improvement and staff suggestion
ideas. |

To enhance participation and promote learning, all visitors
to the exhibition will get to share their thoughts and
vote for the WITS project they deem offers the greatest
learning value.
Do you have a staff suggestion to share? Does your organisation
have an excellent WITS project to share? Hesitate no more!
Take this opportunity to share with all other public officers
and contact your WITS coordinator.
Even if you are not submitting any entries, mark your
calendar, come on down, join in the fun and cast your
vote for the winning team! See you there! |
