Ever wonder what school is like these days?
Or how your child spends his time in school? Now
is the time to find out! Come to MOE ExCEL Fest
and discover how schools develop the spirit of innovation
and enterprise in students to equip them for future
challenges. You will also get to experience first-hand
what is happening in schools and learn about amazing
inventions used in the classroom!
SchoolWorks! Exhibition (no
registration required)
Learn about the innovative and exciting projects
our talented students and teachers have created.
Also see how schools have developed instructional
or co-curricula programmes which nurture the innovative
and enterprising spirit in our children.
Classroom Experience for Parents (registration
required)
Sit with your child in a classroom setting and experience
how lessons are taught today. Register for your
choice of subject. And come with questions for the
teacher!
Talks for Parents (registration
required)
Sit in for talks on varied topics such as:

a primary school for your child and Primary
1 registration; innovative primary school
programmes such as SEED (Strategies for Effective
Engagement and Development), SAIL (Strategies
for Active and Independent Learning) and the
Programme for School-based Excellence |

learning strategies for English and Mathematics
at the primary level |
Family Edventure (registration
required)
Do you have a child in primary school? If so, take
part in an exciting, interactive mini-race on Saturday
from 8 am to 2 pm. Have fun with games and activities
that will challenge your mind and body, or simply
spend quality time with your family.
To take part in this exciting Edventure, form a
family team of two adults and two children and register
early! (One adult must be the parent of one of the
children.)
All teams that complete the Family Edventure will
receive a goodie bag worth $80, including entrance
tickets to the Singapore Zoological Gardens for
a family of four. Top teams will also win attractive
prizes.
The MOE ExCEL Fest events and activities are open
for registration
till 15 June 2005. Places are limited, so register
