CPIB wins People Excellence Award

CPIB has come a long way since it was established in 1952.

An organisation is only as good as its people. Without skilled and committed employees, an organisation will not thrive even with the latest technology and best practices and processes in place.

The People Developer Standard provides organisations with a total framework for developing and engaging staff to achieve business excellence. A total of 423 organisations have been certified under the programme of which six have been conferred the People Excellence Award, the highest accolade given to organisations for people excellence.

The Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) is the first public agency to be conferred the award. Its innovative people development efforts have helped to put Singapore on the map as the fifth least corrupt country in the world (ranking by Transparency International). Singapore has also been ranked the least corrupt country in Asia by Political and Economic Risk Consultancy since 1995.

CPIB’s other achieve-ments include the ISO 9000 certification, the Singapore Quality Class certification, the Public Service Award for Organisational Excellence, and the H.E.A.L.T.H. Silver award.
