Learn about various integrated e-services

Integrated e-services can be grouped according to their degree of integration. Some integrated e- services bundle information and services provided by various agencies into a service package. An example is the Moving House e-Service Package under the Housing Town on the eCitizen Portal. This service package provides all the information and e-links that are useful to someone planning a shift.

Others unify common services offered by different agencies into a single e-service. An example is the Civil Service One-Stop Job Portal (see story Fast and easy way to recruit new staff), which features jobs available in the various public agencies and allows for online application. This project was led by the Public Service Division.

The most complex integrated e-services are those that require the simplifying or re-engineering of processes across agencies. The integration of these services involve the reviewing and streamlining of processes from start to end.

One example of a complex integrated e-services project is OASIS or the Online Application System for Integrated e-Services (see story Good news for entrepreneurs!), led by the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Mem-bers of the public who wish to set up a business can complete the online application form for licences or permits at a one-stop licensing portal.

The OASIS pilot system, which is currently under development, will cover licences/permits such as the Singapore Tourism Board’s travel agent licence and IDA’s telecom dealer licence, as well as the Central Provident Fund Board’s employer registration service.
