LTA’s winning initiatives

Here are the four projects from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) that won recognition.

one.motoring - gateway to all motoring information
This portal is the result of a successful collaboration between the public and private sectors. The portal contains a wide array of information and services. Besides obtaining information on LTA’s policies and schemes, motorists can pay their traffic fines and renew their road tax, among many other online services. Hyperlinks to commercial services such as finance houses, insurance companies and other vehicle-related associations can also be found at www.onemotoring.com.sg.

Open Bidding System for COE - levelling the playing field

The Open Bidding System for the Certificate of Entitlement (COE) promotes greater transparency in the bidding process and provides users with greater accessibility to its services. The system enables motorists to make informed decisions when placing their bids for the COE. By logging onto www.gov.sg/lta/ocoe, motorists can submit their bids, monitor the COE prices and revise their reserve price for their bids.

traffic.smart - integrated traffic information at your fingertips
This portal delivers real-time integrated traffic information to enhance traffic flow on our roads. It gathers real-time information from the various Intelligent Transport Systems implemented by LTA, such as the Expressway Monitoring and Advisory System (EMAS), TrafficScan and the Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) system. At http://traffic.smart.lta.gov.
sg
, motorists can check road conditions before embarking on their journey so as to avoid congested roads or major accidents.

ez-link Card system - the smart way to travel
The Enhanced Integrated Fare System, better known as the ez-link Card system, improves the efficiency of the transport system. The ez-link Card is a contactless smart card that has replaced the magnetic farecard previously used in public transport services. With the ez-link Card, commuters no longer need to remember to pay the exact bus fare or insert farecards into validators. This also means a reduction in boarding time as well as the time buses stay at bus-stops. The Card also has the capability for other uses. To find out more, visit www.ezlink.com.sg.
