LTA wins coveted CIO Award 2003

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) was one of the five winners which received the prestigious CIO Award 2003 for its initiatives to deliver public service excellence through the strategic use of IT.

LTA was selected among 153 nominations from Asian organisations across various sectors. Two more winners were from Singapore, while the other two were from Hong Kong and Taiwan.

CIO 100, introduced by IDG Asia Pacific, is an annual index of the top 100 public and private organisations in Asia that have added value to their business operations through the use of IT.

The CIO Awards are presented to five organisations in the CIO 100 list which stand out for their especially bold and innovative use of IT to meet their business imperatives. The winners are selected based on how various initiatives have contributed towards operational excellence in their organisations.
