Project: IP Telephony

In the past, passengers in Changi Airport had to move from one place to another within the airport terminal buildings to make phone calls, check emails, surf the Net or check flight information.

Now they can enjoy these services from a single point. The Internet Protocol (IP) phone comes with an LCD screen, a credit card reader and a video camera. It enables passengers and airport users to send voice, picture and video messages as emails; send greeting icons to handphones through the short message service (SMS); retrieve flight and airport information; surf the Net; make direct calls to any of the airport’s information counters and more.
