Project: AIRSTRIP

The AIRport Systems Technology Research Innovation Platform or AIRSTRIP framework was jointly designed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and the Economic Development Board (EDB).

It aims to tap the innovative energy of the private sector by offering Changi Airport as a test-bed for the latest airport and aviation technologies. It also provides a platform for Singapore-based companies to test innovative aviation-related ideas and technologies with commercial potential.

CAAS will facilitate and assist these companies in fine-tuning and trial testing their innovative technologies, while EDB will provide financial support.

AIRSTRIP projects currently being pursued include an aircraft pavement management system, and an aircraft-to-ground wireless communication system.
