Launch of I-Circle

During the Deep Dive forum, the PS21 Office (PSO) and The Enterprise Challenge (TEC) launched the I-Circle or Innovation Circle, which aims to serve as a focal point for innovation in the Public Service.

Currently, innovation initiatives within the Public Service are decentralised and exist within various agencies. I-Circle aims to create a unified and easily accessible Public Service innovations network - by bringing together all the innovation clubs that have been established within ministries and statutory boards.

In addition, as innovators often experience a sense of isolation and do not know where to start, I-Circle will provide public officers with a supportive community and avenues for learning and the sharing and exchange of ideas.

I-Circle is the brainchild of a group of PSO officers who saw the need for and benefits of creating a community of innovation activists.

Representatives from ministries and statutory boards rallied around to give ideas on how I-Circle could be enhanced. Thus the concept of I-Circle came from officers at the ground level.

I-Circle is built on fundamental principles that include the following: Everyone can innovate, all members can learn from each other, and it is vital to embrace innovation and be adaptable and open to change.
